From November 23 to 28, the All-Russian Federation of Sports for Persons with Musculoskeletal Disabilities in Penza (Penza Region) held the Russian Table Tennis Championship among 6-10 grades.

Athletes from 33 regions of Russia competed for championship medals. Competitions were held in individual and team competition.

Men's Tournament Winners:

Grade 6: Alexander Esaulov (Saratov region)

Grade 7: Alexey Samsonov (Irkutsk region)

Grade 8: Artem Yakovlev (Saratov region)

Grade 9: Yuri Nozdrunov (Oryol region)

Table tennis was first included in the program of the 1960 Summer Paralympic Games. Athletes with lesions of the musculoskeletal system and intellectual disabilities take part in two categories – sitting (grades 1-5) and standing (grades 6-10). Men and women compete individually, in pairs and as a team. The game consists of five games, each played up to 11 points, the winner is the athlete or pair of athletes who won three of the five games. At the XVI Paralympic Summer Games 2020 in Tokyo (Japan), the Russian table tennis team won 1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
