A game of words will be able to captivate and surprise you

You sit with the child in line, go in the train, wandering along the road from the metro to the house – in all these cases, verbal games will help. They do not need props, do not need a large space, a huge company.

What is useful for verbal games you can read here (plus 14 games for younger children)

This collection has 13 verbal games. The number of players is from 2 people or more. Age – from 5 years and older. Games are located in increasing complexity.

And remember about important rules:

The game should be a joy. If you see that the child is nervous, irritated or plays reluctantly – ask if it is worth continuing the game. Maybe it's time to replace this game with another? Or does he want to talk about something important? Or just shut up?

Offer age games. The game in Abyrval, for example, preschoolers may not understand. Let sometimes the rules of the game will seem too easy for you, but the game process will be more active, more exciting.

If the child cannot fully play (for example, come up with a word with the desired letter), but he really wants – tell him. At least a little.

No criticism. Even if in your thoughts it revolves “how should he know this” or “Why is he so slowing down?” – There is no need to talk about it at all. From such words, the child will definitely not see, but, most likely, will feel uncomfortable.

Remember, the game is not training, but a process. This is your unique joint time, your investment in spiritual relations with the child.

Play with pleasure!

1. Guess the word

The driver makes a word, the rest try to guess it, asking questions that can only be answered “yes” or “no”.

For kids, you can simplify the task – make only a certain category. For example, animals or furniture.

2. What are we talking about?

Task: Guess the word from three tips.

Example: the driver made the word house. The first hint is “tall”. If the player does not guess, then the second hint is given – “brick”. Only one word (not a phrase) can be a hint. The game lasts up to three tips.

3. Guess the number

Players agree in advance that they make a number up to 10 or up to 20 (depending on the possibilities of the child).

The driver makes a number, the rest ask questions that the driver can answer only with the words “more” or “less”. The task is to guess the correct value for fewer “moves”.

Example: The driver made it “5”. Player: 8. Journal: Less. Player: 6. Journal: Less. Player: 4. Journal: More. Player: 5.Driver: That's right!

4. Triple nonsense

One of the players names any letter. The other must say a phrase where all three words begin with that letter.

A board game with the same name appeared in a selection of games and books for those who are learning to read.

5. Forbidden letter

The driver asks the players questions that need to be answered quickly, but avoiding a certain letter (the players agree in advance what letter it will be).

6. Rhymes

The driver calls the word, the player comes up with a rhyme for him.

Example: stick – rolling pin, house – gnome, etc.

7. Abbreviation

One player names a word, the other comes up with a sentence that consists of words, each of which begins with a letter of the proposed word. It sounds complicated, but the example will immediately become clear.

Example: They guessed the word hand – Frisky Duck Grunted to the Apothecary, Working Scientist Colossal Anachronist.

There are funny phrases. At the same time, through fun, the game develops imaginative thinking.

8. Three stories

Each player takes turns telling stories that happened to him. One of the stories is fictional, the other two are real. The task of the rest is to guess what is true and what is fiction.

It is desirable to tell a fictional story in such a way that it is easier to guess which of the stories is made up.

9. Abyrvalg

The driver calls the item, the players need to quickly find this thing around them. The difficulty lies in the fact that the leader says all the words “back to front”: akrog, mod, robaz, kotevts (slide, house, fence, flower).

The game can also be mobile: the driver calls the word, the players need to have time to run to the hidden object.

10. Synonyms

The first player says any word aloud. It's best if it's a verb.

The rest of the players take turns pronouncing its synonyms. There should be no pauses, the one who stopped is out of the game. The last remaining participant wins.

Example: work – work hard – hunchback – work, etc.

You can use not only a synonymous word, but also expressions that reflect its meaning: cry – shed tears, cure – put on your feet, be sad – hang your nose.

11. Associations

The players make up some common acquaintance, but in such a way that the driver does not hear. Then the driver begins to ask questions about what the players associate this person with – what flower, what weather, vehicle, etc.

If the company is large, then it is better to think of one of those present.

12. Playing P

The driver guesses the word. He must explain it to the players, using only words beginning with the letter p (except for words with the same root).

Example: They made up the word “house” – the driver says: “I built, I live”, etc.

If the players are close to the solution, the driver encourages them: “Almost right!” If they are looking for an answer in the wrong place, then: “You are confused” or “Bad”.

13. “I'll take it with me.

The driver informs the players that he is going on a trip and takes only a few things with him.At the same time, he comes up with a rule in advance, according to which he takes only certain items with him. For example, green, round or cold.

Then the driver says: “I'm going on a trip and I'm taking it with me. frog. This item must comply with the intended rule. Players ask if you can take bread with you? Bread is not green – so it is impossible. Can I take a cucumber with me? The driver replies that it is possible (since the cucumber is green). The one who can solve the rule wins.

Rules can be as simple (for example, what fits in a briefcase, everything is round, soft things) or complex. For example, your name and all items start with the same letter. Or all words of foreign origin.

Word games are as old as the world: children loved to play them both in the past and in the century before last (moreover, some games have come down to us almost in their original form). Such games have a lot of advantages: they do not require any devices, they allow you to have an interesting time, learn something new, and also train a lot of useful skills. There are a lot of games and modifications themselves. We have chosen the most interesting ones – among them there are both more difficult and simpler, both humanitarian and technical ones. Shall we play?

How to play: the host thinks of any word (for advanced – a phrase). Players can ask any questions that can be answered yes or no. Whoever guessed the word first wins.

Number of players: from two people.

Danetki is the undisputed and familiar leader of our hit parade. The rules are elementary, and the game is exciting – you can play with both a three-year-old and a ten-year-old. And most importantly, the game is useful: it teaches logical thinking and the ability to correctly formulate a question. In addition, more or less experienced players develop a system of questions for themselves that allow them to narrow their search as much as possible: is it alive? Is it man made? Is it edible? Etc.

How to play: the host thinks of a word, one of the players chooses any letter. The facilitator must explain the riddle, using words only for this letter. For example, the word tree, the letter – c. The host says something like: standing outside, building materials, seedlings, pine and so on.

Number of players: from two people

This game allows you to greatly expand your vocabulary and makes your imagination work, of course!

How to play: The host briefly leaves the room (or plugs his ears).Players choose who to make (it can be the players themselves, the host, or, for example, a common friend). The host finds out what associations the made -up is called, for example: with what genre of music is this person associated? With what color? With what transport?

The number of players: from three people (the more, the better).

As a rule, during this game no one can resist laughter, especially if the host makes funny associations. But guessing is not so simple: everyone has different associations. In addition, this is a great way to look a little at the world through the eyes of your child: it may turn out that yellow – potatoes – bicycle – it is you!

How to play: the host makes a word (a noun in the singular, the longer, the more interesting), for example, the “apartment”, and says the first letter – “K”. The task of the players is to find out which word is made, without calling it directly. One player asks: Is that what they eat for breakfast? If the host guesses what is at stake, he replies: No, this is not porridge.

If the host does not understand what it is, and the other player guessed, he adds: There is contact! Then the players begin to count to ten in chorus, and the host still has a chance to find an answer. At the expense of the “ten” players in chorus pronounce the riddled word – “porridge”. If they meant the same word, the leader has to reveal the second letter of his word – “in”. Now players need to make words starting at the KV. The game continues until the word of the host is guessed.

Number of players: from three people.

Although the description of the game is quite long, the rules are not at all complicated. The game is fascinating and gambling. She teaches to give definitions and descriptions, and especially sophisticated players manage to describe the subject in such a way that one player, not the presenter, guess.

How to play: players choose any number from one to ten – for example, seven. Then they begin to count up to a hundred in turn, and instead of numbers that are divided into seven or contain seven, we must say “OPLA”. Who was mistaken – retires.

Number of players: from two people

This funny game perfectly trains oral account skills.

How to play: you need to prove that you won. Why? Come up with the rules yourself!

– I won because I'm older.
– Yes, but today only those in whose name there is the letter “m” win, and your name is Petya!
– Yes, but in this game such rules is that the rule number two does not work!

Number of players: from two people.

Although the rules in appearance are elementary, the game is quite cunning: you need to come up with your conditions, while observing all the previous ones. Here they are, the techniques of sophistry in action! Exercising in this game, your child will be able to convince anyone (carefully: you too).

7. Three -liter bank

How to play: choose any letter and call everything that will fit in a three -liter jar. For example: “B” – a lamb, a bug, barberry, broth and so on.

Number of players: from two people.

Among other things, the game develops spatial imagination: you need to remember that the jar is large, but its neck is narrow, so the big question is, will a glass fit there, for example?

How to play: the host calls any word, the player must come up with a word for the last letter of the first. Pineapple-dog-orange-sock.

Number of players: from two people.

Probably the most popular game of all time. You can play cities, names, animals – the choice of topics is unlimited. At the same time, it turns out to expand the knowledge of the child in a particular area: think of rare fish or favorite fairy-tale characters.

How to play: the host says any word, for example, cat. The player adds the following – the cat woke up. Then everyone adds a word, repeating the previous ones. The result can be a whole story, the main thing is not to get lost!

Number of players: from two people.

The game is playful, because the result of joint creativity is unpredictable! At the same time, memory is well trained and fantasy works.

How to play: make words to each other in their “mirror” reading: “loots” – a chair, “overd” – a tree, and so on.

Number of players: from two people.

During the game, memory and attention are trained, and then some words, when read on the contrary, turn out to be simply hilarious.

Oral games to pass the time

Games of this kind are convenient in that they do not need props (if needed, then minimal), they can be used anywhere and at any time. Oral games can both diversify the holiday, and simply take hours on a tiring road or in a long queue. Such entertainment can be not only an interesting pastime, but also a good stimulus for the mental and speech development of the child.

This is perhaps the most famous game of all times and peoples of our country. The first player names any city, the next participant comes up with a city with the final letter of the previous one, for example: Moscow – Arkhangelsk – Kursk.

Alternatively, you can complicate the game: pronounce the names of cities in a certain country.

Another game of cities is similar to the game “I know …”, where the continuation of the initial phrase “I know” can be completely different options: five city names starting with the letter P, five cities in Germany, five cities in Siberia, etc. The main thing is to name all five without straying and without pausing.

It involves both individuals and teams. The first player or team sing any song (1-2 lines), the opponents must sing the answer – a song starting with the last letter of the previous one. This fun game is good for holidays and in companies where people like to sing. Thus, you can arrange a real concert, singing the songs in full.

Three stories (true or fiction)

Each participant takes turns telling two real stories that happened to him, and one fictional one. The task of the rest is to guess which of them is not true. It is advisable to tell a fictional story in such a way that it would be difficult to immediately guess which of the three is made up.

The host leaves the room, and the rest of the participants guess the name of any player. The facilitator's task is to guess this person by asking association questions, for example:

“Which of the birds does this person look like: a penguin, a sparrow or a peacock?”, “If this person were a house, would it be a high-rise building, a cottage or a hut?”, “This person: poppy, rose or forget-me-not?”

find the color

This is a game of speed. The host writes the names of the players on the sheet and for each quick answer puts a point next to the name of the answerer. The task of the participants is to find and show the color chosen by the leader as soon as possible (in household items, in clothes, in nature, etc.) in the immediate environment.

A more complicated version of the game: colors with shades are guessed, for example, light green, dirty pink. You can also think of rarely spoken names of colors: purple, olive, khaki, etc.

For schoolchildren, such a game in English or another language that they study will be useful.

Find the hidden object

Of all that is available to the eye, the host thinks of one item. Players take turns asking leading questions to guess it. Questions can only be answered with “yes” or “no”. Each player can do one thing on his turn: either ask a leading question, or guess what kind of object is hidden. If the player incorrectly guesses the object, then he skips the next move. The winner changes places with the host and makes a new item.

This game teaches you to listen carefully, analyze and draw conclusions, because with the help of questions asked by other participants, you can guess the object in your turn.

I never…

For this game, you will need matches or other small items that you can take and give away.

Each participant is given 10 matches (seeds, beads, sticks, etc.). Players take turns pronouncing the phrase: I never … and continue it with some fact from their lives. It is important that this statement be as unique as possible and that as few participants as possible could say the same about themselves. As soon as the player says his phrase, all the others who cannot say this about themselves give him one match each.

For example, if you say, I've never been a pilot on an airplane, you most likely won't get more than one match, because. none of the players were pilots either. But, if you say: I have never ridden a bicycle – be sure that they will give you a lot of matches. Close friends who know each other well will see to it that there is no cunning or deceit; some facts are difficult to verify from unfamiliar participants in the game.

A bag

This game develops memory and attention. The first participant begins the game with the phrase: “I take the bag and put it in it …” then he continues, saying any object, for example, an apple. The next person repeats everything said by the previous one, but adds one more object of his own: “I take a bag and put an apple and socks in it.” And so on, the game continues in a circle. Everyone who stumbles out. The last remaining participant who manages to pronounce the entire chain without hesitation wins.

This funny game, if you catch a wave of inspiration, will amuse its participants a lot. The task is simple: the first player says the first phrase of the verse, the second – the next, and so on. The most important thing is to keep the rhyme. For interest, you can record the work that the writers get.

You can simplify this game by giving everyone a word that will rhyme with the neighbor's word. Then there will be no tension with inventing a rhyme: everyone composes the stuffing of the line. For example, from the words: love-carrots, tears-roses, you can get such a rhyme:

I have love in my heart

It grows like a carrot.

That's why I shed tears

For watering a pretty rose.

This is a game for schoolchildren and their parents. Any word is thought up (better – a verb). Participants in a circle begin to pronounce its synonyms. There should be no pauses, so the one who stopped is out of the game. The last remaining participant wins.

The chain of synonyms will be longer if figurative concepts are inserted into it, for example: run – fly, work – hunchback, etc. You can also use not only one word, but also expressions that will reflect the same meaning: cry – shed tears, gather – wash skis.

Continue the word

Option 1. Two people are playing. The first pronounces half of any word, the second must continue it and name the whole word. For example:

Second: “… rights. Gore…”

The first: od … Udo …, etc.

The winner is the one who manages to hold out without faltering.

Option 2. Company game. Participants are divided into 2 teams, three minutes are recorded and during this time the teams must come up with as many words as possible from the syllable they have started. The team with the most words wins. For example, you need to come up with a continuation of the part of the word com …: communism, communal worker, room, combine, company, comedian, team, etc.

Decipher the song

The host leaves the hall, everyone thinks of a famous song. When the presenter enters, he must, by asking any questions (not related to the song), understand what the participants have guessed. Each participant must insert one word from the song into their answer. The next leader is the player on which the song was recognized.

For example, the song “Oh, the viburnum is blooming in the field by the stream” is conceived:

Host: What's the weather like today?

Player 1: Oh, it looks like it's going to rain.

Host: What did you eat for breakfast today?

2nd player: A sunflower blooms under my window, I ate seeds from it.

Host: What color is your shirt?

3rd player: If you compare the color of my shirt with plants, it will be something like a viburnum. Etc.

It is important to make such sentences with which the presenter will not immediately guess what song they are talking about.

You cannot change the case, number, declension, conjugation of words: they must remain in the form in which they stand in the song.

Smart games

In these games, the participants must guess what scheme the leader is acting on.

Cross to Parallel

Everyone sits around on chairs. A phantom is taken (any object) that will be convenient to transfer. The host starts the game by passing the phantom to any participant, with the words: From the cross to the parallel. The participant must pass it to any other player, correctly saying: from the cross to the parallel, or from the parallel to the cross. The task of the players is to guess what kind of system operates in this game: when they are crosses, and when they are parallels.

In fact, the answer is extremely simple: when a person sits on a chair, putting his foot on his leg, he is a cross, and when both his legs stand in parallel, he is a parallel. Therefore, the same participant can be dozens of times with a cross and a parallel.

Warn the players so that the first, guessed about the game system, and convinced that they really understood everything right, did not immediately talk about this to the other participants. You can only say: “I understood”, continue to play and wait for the rest to guess.

I take with me on a hike …

The presenter says the initial phrase: “I take with me on a campaign …” And then says some object. Players by one begin to try to take something with them and call their items. The presenter must say: you can take them or it is impossible, and the participants, meanwhile, must guess by what principle you can take things on a campaign.

There can be a lot of options here (they can be invented by yourself): from simple, to complex ones. Everything will depend on the age of the players. For example, you can take objects on a campaign:

1. Starting or ending with a certain letter:

Presenter: I take a mug with me on a hike.

1st player: I take a stroller with me on a hike.

2nd player: I take a stick with me on a hike.

2. Consisting of a certain material (only metal or only wooden):

Presenter: I take a needle with me on a hike.

1st player: I take a spoon with me.

2nd player: I take a coin with me on a hike.

3. Starting in the first letter of the player:

Presenter (Vanya): I take the jam with me on a campaign.

1st player (Lena): I take with me on a hike of ski.

2nd player (Glory): I take salt with me on a hike.

4. Only edible (or only inedible).

5. Only those around the players. Etc.

The presenter says that he has a detective story, the plot of which players will learn, asking leading questions. The presenter has the right to answer only “yes”, “no” and “I don’t know”, and the participants should guess why the presenter gives the answers.

1st player: Was it in a big city?

2nd player: Was April in the yard?

Presenter: I don't know.

3rd player: Residents heard a shot?

The secret of this game for ingenuity is as follows: when the question ends on the vowel, the presenter says: “Yes”, when – to the consonant: “No”, when for a soft sign: “I don’t know”.

Games on paper

At the height of vacations, let's recall the road games for which only a sheet of paper and a pen or pencil will be needed. Even the longest road will seem to you with a child fast and light 🙂

Setter or words from words

Remember this game when my parents or friends from the letters of various signs and inscriptions made up other words?

So, on a leaflet we write a long word. Each player writes as many words as possible, which will be made from the letters of the original word.

How many words will you get? 😉

A scallop

On a sheet of paper we write a few letters (you can start with two or three). It is necessary to come up with as many words as possible in which these letters are found. The letters can be changed.

The option is more complicated: make sentences from the words found. Cope?

To play, each player needs a pencil and a piece of paper. Divide the sheet into 5 columns: name, city, plant, animal, river. Columns can be more or less, as you agree.

Choosing the letter of the alphabet and forward: on the command Start! You need to write in each column a word starting in this letter. Who managed the first, shouts Stop! 🙂

Only unique words win. Such a game perfectly trains memory!

Next, you need to verify the results. The words that several players met are deleted and are not considered. For example, it is more profitable for the letter “M” to write “Mangust”, and not “Bear” or “Melbourne”, and not “Moscow”.

By the number of remaining words, the counting of glasses is carried out: each unique word is 1 point. Who gained the most, he won this round. Choose another letter and begin the next one!

We have a whole section of the catalog dedicated to games with words, puzzles and other pastime with benefit. You'll like it!

Sea battle

This game is for two players. Its purpose is to sink all enemy ships. Ships are located on two square fields with a size of 10 by 10 cells. Lines are indicated by numbers, columns – letters.

In your field you have ships, and the enemy strikes them. And in the other field, the enemy has his ships, at which you are “shooting”.

Each player has an equal number of ships – 10 pieces:

  • One -deck (1×1 cage) – 4 pcs
  • Bicom -deck (1×2 cells) – 3 pcs
  • Three -deck (1×3 cells) – 2 pcs
  • Four -deck (1×4 cells) – 1 pc

When arranging ships, keep in mind that there should be at least one empty cage between them, you can not put ships closely.

Experienced players have their own strategy for the arrangements of ships 🙂

In his move, the player chooses a cage on the enemy’s field and “shoots”, calling its coordinates: “a1”, for example. At the same time, this move notes on his additional field.

If you sunk the enemy’s ship, then the opponent must say “killed”, if you wounded the ship (that is, you got into a ship with more than one deck), then the opponent must say “wounded”. In the event of an opponent’s ship, you continue to “shooting”.

The game ends when all the ships of one of the players are “sunk”.

Do you have a “sea battle” is also one of the most favorite children's games?

There are special collections “on the road” that will tell you a new game every day. Enough for a long time!

The playing field 3 on 3 cells (total 9 cells) is drawn. Players take turns making moves, putting a cross or a nolik in an empty cage. The purpose of the game: to build a line of three crosses or zero horizontally, verticals or diagonals.

Whose will take? You can play endlessly! Until the paper runs out 🙂

When you get tired of playing on a small field, you can play complicated version. Believe me, it's very interesting!

To begin with, let's prepare the field: in each cell of a regular playing field there is one more – a small one.

When making a move, place a cross or a zero, as usual. Having won on a small field, you mark the entire large cell with a cross or a zero. To win the game, you need to win on three small fields in one row – everything is like in ordinary tic-tac-toe 🙂

Inside each cell of the large playing field is a small

At the same time, you cannot, at your discretion, choose a small field in order to walk around. The choice is determined by your opponent's previous move. The cell of the small field in which he made a move is the small field in which you have to make a move. And the cell in which you play, in turn, determines in which small square your opponent's next move will be.

For example, if the opponent went to the small field in the upper right corner, then your field for the next move will be the field in the upper right corner of the large field.

One player's move determines the field for another player's next move.

  • If your opponent sends you to a small field in which a victory has already been won, but there are empty cells left, you will have to choose one of them. You will no longer be able to influence the outcome of the game in this field, but at least determine where your opponent will go.
  • And if the opponent sends you to an already filled field, then in this case you can choose any of the fields to move.

Have you tried playing “complex” tic-tac-toe?

If there is a draw in one of the small fields? This question must be discussed in advance and one of two options must be accepted:

  • the field is considered neither a cross nor a zero;
  • the field is considered both a cross and a zero.

And if you win in three fields in a row, this is a mega-victory 🙂

Where will we draw tic-tac-toe? Of course, in a notebook in a box! This is where the White Rabbit comes in handy. We have notebooks for all occasions!

Playing with words

At the age of 4-6 years, children already know how to play independently.

But this does not mean that parents should not take part in children's games.

The games are just different. And today I would like to talk about word games for kids.

Word games are a huge boon for parents. You can play them anytime and anywhere: on a walk, while cleaning, when mom washes the dishes or prepares to eat. Word games can keep a child busy on the road, or in a long line at the clinic.

These are versatile and fast games that do not require training. At the same time, games with words carry a huge potential – they help develop coherent speech in a child and replenish vocabulary, train memory, attention, and speed of reaction.

Children love to play with words.Just pay attention to what your child likes the most and involve him in the game. And my daughter (4 years, 9 months) and I will help you with our example.

Word games for kids

word game

This is our favorite game to date.

The first player names any word (noun), for example – GAME. The next player comes up with a word starting with the letter that ended the first word, i.e. on the letter A – Pineapple. Then the chain continues: Salad – Grass – Orange – Leg, etc.

Benefits of the game:

1. Vocabulary is replenished.

2. My horizons are expanding (during the game, I briefly explain unfamiliar words to my daughter).

3. The child learns to distinguish nouns from adjectives and verbs (for example, the word “beautiful” cannot be used because it describes objects, etc.)

4. Memory is trained.

5. Logical thinking develops (if the daughter finds it difficult to come up with a word, then I give her a hint, for example: there is an animal that lives in Australia with the letter K).

When the game gets boring, it can be made more difficult by narrowing the circle. Those. prop up words on a specific topic. For example, you can play cities and countries according to this principle, and then only cities.

Word Games: Rhymes/Poems

1. We take the floor and choose rhymes for it. As many rhymes as possible: Bear-Book-Monkey-Irishka, etc. Such games will greatly help the child develop intelligence and perhaps even learn to write poetry.

Anya loves to rhyme very much and comes up with rhymes everywhere and everywhere. I tried to transfer this interest of hers to game of poetry:

2. The host comes up with a simple rhyme, for example: Bear-Bump.

Players must come up with a poem with these words (we have only 2 lines in the verse). Everyone comes up with their own, and when everyone’s poems are ready, we read them in turn. I always draw my daughter's attention to the fact that completely different verses are obtained from the same words:

A lump fell on him.

Mishka knocked on the door

And a bump jumped on my forehead

The squirrel dropped a bump

And hit right in Mishka

Word Games: Word Transformation

We take a poem / song known to the child and replace one letter with another.

This game trains phonetic hearing well, teaches you to “hear words”, develops attention and simply amuses the child.

For example, in the verse “They dropped the bear on the floor”, we replace M with P. We get:

Pishka's paw was torn off

I still won't drop it

PotoP that he is good.

Anya likes to replace letters in her favorite songs, and laugh while singing them in a new way.

Guess the melody

This is not exactly a play with words, but very funny, incendiary and very much loved by us. The number of players is 2 or more.

One player comes up with a song and sings it without words, using animal sounds or just la-la-la. For example: a Christmas tree was born meowing a song in the forest.

The second player must guess the song. Then the second player hums the song to the third, and so on.

This game develops memory and musical ear well.

And I'll tell you a little secret. If it is difficult for you to guess what your child smeared to you, show and explain to him that you need to not just bark a song by syllables, but also pull vowels where you need. Gav- Gaav, Gav-Gav-Gav- Gaaaaaav.

In this game, we often and gambling play in the evenings with the whole family in the kitchen.

Verbal games select a pair

The speed of reaction and vocabulary is well developed by the selection of couples according to the given rules.

-diminutive word: table-table;

– plural: child – children, cat – cats, coat – coat;

-Mom-Ditya: Elephant-Elephant, stork-stork;

– Antonyms: heat – cold, high – low;

– Synonyms: beautiful – wonderful; The car is a car.

We play this way: first I lead the game, then change roles.

Games for the development of speech with antonyms/synonyms were especially fascinated by a daughter from three to four years old. And now she is very interesting Select homonyms. But this is not within the framework of the game, but simply in the process of life. She watches, searches for such words and is very happy when she finds something interesting.

Games with words – palindromes

Palindromes are words or phrases that are read the same way and left-right and right and right. Remember the famous Rose fell on the paw of Azor?

You can look for such words or phrases with the children. Our daughter just likes to read and remember them. Here are examples of interesting phrases and words that I selected for her:

  • The flood
  • Shalash
  • Cook
  • And the dog is Bos
  • The city of roads
  • House Mod,
  • Eat the unwashed you less
  • And the lama is small
  • The world is like Rome
  • I climb a bathroom
  • A good rustle
  • On the house a suitcase
  • Watermelon of bison
  • The cat is dragging ducks
Game with the words mixing

This very funny and cheerful game is suitable when you need to entertain the child or group of children. However, I note that in addition to fun, the game brings benefits. Children learn to bow words. In 4-6 years, this game is especially popular.

Each participant in the game make a word: a stump, a cook, a nesting doll, a spoon. And all the questions that the host ask, the player must answer only with this word.

If the child answered correctly and did not laugh, he takes a step forward.

-And what is your dad's name?

What did you eat for lunch today?

– What is your favorite toy?

– Mom works for you?

Verbal games with the ball

Remember how many verbal games with the ball were in our childhood? Let's convey good traditions to our children. Moreover, such games not only develop the child’s speech, but also train dexterity.

The game I know five …

We usually played this game on the street. They threw the ball on the ground and said: “I know five names of girls: Ira – one, Natasha – two, Sveta – three, Tanya – four, Anyuta – five.” Remember?

You can call anything: names, cities, toys, products, books, songs, countries, animals, birds, fish, insects, colors and so on.

If the child is not very good at knocking the ball on the ground, you can roll the ball sitting opposite each other.

The host throws (or rolls) the player the ball and calls the edible/inedible object. The player should catch the ball if the item is edible or repel, if not edible.

These are verbal games we play with my daughter.

But will cause universal interest –

And also guess its weight.

You are lucky, you got a simple fant

And the left leg holding a hand
In honor of our anniversary, raise our toast.

And comment on the show at the same time,
And recruit fashion models from the guests.

From fruits on the table He and she,
Add your own explanations to it
And to announce to whom it is dedicated.

Should you applause
For the hero of the day, in her honor
Invent a fax from the President
In her name and read.

Ability to read words backwards
Demonstrate your phantom gives.
You are the name of the patronymic of the hostess of the celebration
Should say the opposite.

Such a duty, except for you,
Can't be done by anyone else.
Your phantom – on behalf of the guests now
To the hostess of the celebration say Thank you
