The International Scientific Journal Communicology of the Presidential Academy is included in the list of reviewed scientific publications of the highest certification commission (Higher Attestation Commission). The corresponding decision was made by the Presidium of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

The magazine is published at the Department of Public Relations and Media Politics of the Journalism Department of the Institute of Public Service and Administration (IGSU) of the RANEPA. The pages of the magazine Communicology consider issues of the theory and practice of public relations, mass media and communication, the foundations of the theory of communication, and the sociology of mass communications.

It is noteworthy that the magazine Communicology is included in the List of the Higher Attestation Commission after only 2.5 years of work. Now the publication has been given the right to publish the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate of sciences and doctors of science in the branch of science: political science, sociological sciences and cultural studies. This is a practical -oriented publication that provides an opportunity for scientific discussions in the field of social communications, presenting the opinions and results of research by scientists and practitioners, publishing scientific articles of students and graduate students.

By the number of visits to foreign readers, the site of the magazine Communicology was one of the leaders among comparable in the direction and duration of the work of magazines. So, according to statistics, only more than 5,000 readers were viewed and downloaded by the English -language site. The thematic issues of the magazine dedicated to communications in such areas of scientific knowledge as sociology, political science, and culturology are of particular interest to foreign readers. Over 25 thousand readers visited the Russian -speaking site. The impact factor of the magazine is 0.465.

The editor -in -chief of the International Scientific Journal of Communicology is the head of the Department of Public Relations and Media Politics, Deputy Head of the Journalism Department of ISSU RANEPA, President of the International Academy of Communicology, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Council, Professor Felix Sharkov. “Among the promising plans for the development of the magazine is the registration of the electronic version, and preparatory work is already planned,” said Felix Sharkov at the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Theory and Practice of the Development of Communicology in the Modern World”.

The event was held at the Presidential Academy and timed to include the magazine in the VAK list.The conference was attended and by leading specialists and scientists of Russia, representing the MGIMO (U) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Russian State University, the International Academy of Communicology, MNEP, the Kursk Academy of State and Municipal Service, the Institute of State Administration, the Institute of Regional Problems, the Academy of Labor and Social Relations, as well as Bryansk State University.
