If you tried to delete a copy of Time Machine from the disk, but they are stuck in the basket and do not move away from there, then this article is for you. Below we will tell you how to solve this problem.
This instruction applies only to those cases when copies are not removed from the basket due to the protection of the SIP system. Files may not be deleted for other reasons. If you do not have a message about the System Integrity Protection error, then the method is not suitable for you below.
How to fix an error when removing copies of Time Machine

An alternative way
There is another way to remove copies of Time Machine. For this, a copy should be in its original folder. You can restore it there directly from the basket.
- Run the Terminal program.
- Enter the following command by replacing the “Drivename” with the name of the disk, which stores copies of Time Machine, and “SpecificBackupname” – to the name of the folder with a specific copy.
